Project Life: Week 21

I am playing some serious catchup in Project Life. But, I am bound and determined to catch up (one day) and still treat each week's spread with the time and effort deserved. Oh, and I totally forgot while on my Project Life hiatus these past few months exactly how much I LOVE this project. And I am so happy to have picked it back up again. I have finished weeks 21, 22 and 23 and will be sharing them with you over the next week. Weeks 24 through 27 and the closing page for album one and starting page for album two are all sketched out with photos printed. So I am plugging along.

But anyways, time to share week 21. It's actually a lot of fun doing these pages months late because I cannot believe how small both Liam and Scout were.

Here's a closer look at the left side. I am loving these wood hearts from Studio Calico. I really like the darker finish on them. And I really love my weekly title card this week. It was one of the "title page cards" from my Core Kit that I obviously didn't use for that purpose. But, it works great here and the weekly word art circle fit perfectly within the sentiment circle. The red Xs on the card are embroidered.

And here's the left side. I kept it pretty simple on this one. I think my favorite thing is the adorable photo of Liam petting Scout. I love this recently found "Favorite Photo" overlay from Melissa at A Vegas Girl At Heart and the Studio Calico kraft hearts are a staple in my album.

Memorable Seasons Color Palette Challenge!

It's my day to issue a monthly challenge at Memorable Seasons! This month, we are going the "inspiration" route with color palettes. I love color palettes. They help me visualize colors together that I would never think to combine. Plus, so many of the color palettes found online have a photo to go with them, so you can visualize the color combo in use in real life.

So, for this challenge, I want you to choose a color palette from my Color My World Pinterest board and use it as your inspiration. I have over 70 palettes for you to choose from so it should be pretty easy to find something that strikes your eye. Also, "brownie points" if you use the palette's corresponding photo as a point of inspiration as well. Be sure to show us the color scheme you used with your layout!

Here's the color palette I picked...

And here is my layout using my Teresa Collins Memorabilia DT kit. I focused on the yellow, dark gray and light blue-green in the color palette. I also pulled some inspiration from those awesome chevron sugar cookies by including a few pieces of the gray chevron ribbon I got in my kit as well as a piece of yellow chevron washi tape I pulled out of my stash...

The fine print:

Teresa Collins "Memorabilia" is at Memorable Seasons!

I have to say, I am starting to become a pretty big fan of Teresa Collins...but not as big as Kathy, fellow Memorable Seasons community member. I don't think anyone could top her fanaticism! ;) Still, this kit had me swooning when I received it. It is full of such beautiful patterns like contemporary stripes and grids mixed with vintage and florals, all in gorgeous muted blues, yellows, tans and grays. And, this collection has just the prefect amount of the trendy chalkboard look too! I encourage you all to check it out for yourselves in the Memorable Season store! Now it's time to share my kit and creations...

Here are the papers...
And the backsides...

And the cardstock and embellishments...
And the extras I "had" to have...

Here are a couple layouts I've created so far with this stunning collection!

Stay tuned for more later on in the month!

Bazzill's Autumn Harvest at Memorable Seasons!

Can you say BOLD and BEAUTIFUL? Because that is exactly what the Bazzill Basics Autumn Harvest collection is - go check it out in the store for yourself! I am just really digging into this kit and the colors are so rich and the patterns are so vibrant. I have so many Fall projects planned with this line but also have a few non-fall ideas brewing. This line just has so much to offer!

The fronts of the papers...

And the backs...

And the cardstock and embellishments (I purchased the journaling cards and some extra leaves and pumpkins)...

And here is my first creation with this kit...my lift of this layout by our fabulous October MOTM Colette!

And here is a card I made for Andrew - we will be celebrating our 9th wedding anniversary on October 9th!!

And this is a card I created to give to my baby brother and future sister-in-law who are getting married on October 19th!!

(And, yes. We have already determined that if my other brother ever gets married, it must be on October 29th...following the appropriate date lineup!)

More to come...stay tuned!
