How to use crackle paint on chipboard.

  1. Gather your supplies: Chipboard, acrylic paint, crackle paint, chalk ink.
  2. Paint your chipboard thoroughly with the acrylic paint. Set aside to dry.
  3. Once dry, coat your chipboard thoroughly with a medium to thick coat of crackle paint. Set aside to dry.
  4. Once dry, you will see cracks appear on the chipboard. You can stop here if you’d like or move onto step 5.
  5. Lightly ink the chipboard to enhance the cracks.
  6. Now you have beautifully antiqued, crackled chipboard pieces.
  7. Use them on your project!

Thank you for posting this! I have 2 bottles of crackle paint that I have been hesitant to crack open. Now that I see your examples, I am thinking I have to give it a go!!
